School Policies
School regulations
All school attendees must follow staff guidelines to maintain a proper environment for students, with an emphasis on respect and a focus on learning. We ask our teachers to be fair and patient, and our students to be polite and hygienic. We thank our students, parents, teachers, and administrators for their cooperation in helping us cultivate this space.
Safety policy
For the safety of all children, please assign an authorized person to pick up your child after school if the documented guardian is unable to. We also ask for your signed permission to allow, in the event of a medical non-emergency, our staff to act upon the situation as they see fit (e.g. tending to a cut, treating a nosebleed). In the event of an emergency, our staff will contact emergency services, the guardian, and the listed emergency contact.
Tuition and refund policies
Once enrolled on the course, the student/parent is strictly bound to pay the full tuition fee. We only accept payment by check or credit card; no cash payments allowed. If an issued check is invalid, a returned check fee will be charged according to the policies of the issuing and acquiring banks, in addition to the tuition owed.
A refund process can be started within seven days of starting a course.
-
If withdrawal takes place on the 1st or 2nd day, 75% of the full tuition will be refunded;
-
On the 3rd, 4th, or 5th day, 50% will be refunded
-
On the 6th or 7th day, 25% will be refunded
There will be no refund after 7 days. Refunds will be issued via paper check, which will be presented in person to the original issuer.
Make-up classes
Please stay home and rest if you are sick. Make-up classes can only be arranged in the event that a student is sick and if the school is notified at least 5 hours in advance. Make-up classes for more than three days of missed classes can only be arranged with a valid doctor’s note. We will schedule the make-up class as soon as possible after the student’s recovery; however, there is no guarantee the class will be held by the student’s usual teacher. Any unused make-up classes will expire in a month from the date of issue.
As mandated by the Hong Kong Education Bureau, there will be no class in the event of a black rainstorm or a Signal No. 8 Typhoon (T8) or above. Classes will resume as the weather permits.
